The annual Club Championship of the Peterborough Chess Club is currently underway. Games take place every Wednesday evening beginning at 7pm at the Rotary Building at the Riverview Park and Zoo. There are twelve players competing in two groups. The players who earn the most points in their groups will face off against each other in a Championship match.
After four rounds of play, a clear leader has emerged in Group 1: Sergio Quesada has won every one of his matches thus far and therefore has 4 points! Group 2 is anyone’s to win at the moment. Updates to follow and spectators welcome!
